Currently this building houses the cultural center CaixaForum Barcelona, which organizes important cultural events and art exhibitions.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACTIVITY:

CaixaForum Barcelona (former Casaramona factory)

Work created in 1912 by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch (1867-1956). This magnificent building, made entirely of brick, now houses the cultural centre CaixaForum Barcelona, which organizes important cultural events and art exhibitions. During the visit to the

building and temporary exhibitions CaixaForum will be open exclusively to delegates of the Congress. Following the visit, the act of recognition will be held in the CaixaForum auditorium.

  • Visit to the headquarters of CaixaForum, the “Casaramona Factory” (1912) with audio guides.
  • Visit to the temporary exhibition “The Ming Dynasty, Empire of Gold”.

CaixaForum Auditorium. Activities:

  • Welcome by the director of CaixaForum
  • Act of recognition of the corporate sponsors and collaborating institutions of the IAC Congress 2016.
  • Presentation of diplomas of recognition to the promoters of the meetings of the IAC in Spain: Barcelona 1979: Elisenda Sala València – Madrid 1986: Enric Mestre and Arcadi Blasco (EDP) Barcelona 2016: Emili Sempere
  • Presentation of the distinction of Honorary Member of the AIC to the person who will be named at the appropriate time.

21:30  Dinner buffet.

23.00 Return to hotel (bus).
