In this context, Barcelona and Catalonia stand out as one of the places where examples are most splendid and expressed in the works of such great architects such as Antoni Gaud\u00ed, Llu\u00eds Dom\u00e8nech i Montaner and Josep Puig i Cadafalch, although many more could be mentioned as well.<\/p>\r\n<p>One of the key elements that distinguish Modernism in relation to other architectural movements is the constant presence of the applied arts, which represented a great resurgence of artisan trades. Wrought iron, stained glass windows with leaded glass, and ceramics (in both construction and decorative aspects) reached levels of excellence never before seen.<\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<td>\r\n<p>Today, these works are the subject of study by art historians and also the object of major restoration work to return them to their original splendor, a process that employs numerous ceramists. En este contexto, Barcelona y Catalunya sobresalen como uno de los lugares donde sus resultados son m\u00e1s esplendorosos, con grandes arquitectos como Antoni Gaud\u00ed i Cornet, Llu\u00eds Dom\u00e8nech i Montaner y Josep Puig i Cadafalch, si bien podr\u00edamos mencionar muchos otros.<\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<td>\r\n<p>Uno de los elementos fundamentales que distinguen el Modernismo en relaci\u00f3n a otros movimientos arquitect\u00f3nicos es la presencia constante de las artes aplicadas, lo que supuso un gran resurgimiento de los oficios artesanos. As\u00ed vemos como la forja en hierro, las vidrieras con vidrio emplomado o la cer\u00e1mica (tanto en su vertiente constructiva como decorativa) alcanzan unos niveles de excelencia a como nunca se hab\u00eda visto. Sus obras son actualmente objeto de estudio de historiadores del arte y tambi\u00e9n de importantes trabajos de restauraci\u00f3n, para devolverles todo su esplendor, lo que est\u00e1 dando trabajo a numerosos ceramistas.
