GRANOLLERS Ceramica Cumella workshop Visit to the most important ceramic studio in Spain dedicated to architectural ceramics. They have worked on many important projects throughout the world (Lisbon, Japan, China… and Spain) with prestigious architects such as Renzo Piano.
Llorens Artigas Foundation Visit to the workshop of Josep Llorens Artigas (1892-1980) and other modern facilities for residences of artists. Artigas is considered one of the most important ceramists in Spain, with great international influence especially due to his books on ceramic glazes. His works with Joan Miró in public spaces are of great importance (UNESCO venue in Paris, Barcelona Airport, etc.). Special exhibition of works by Llorens Artigas, Marc Chagall and other contemporary artists. |
ARGENTONA Argentona Ceramics Museum (Museu del Càntir) Visit to this museum dedicated to traditional pottery jugs for water and other ceramics. Special exhibitions of contemporary ceramics by Joan Serra and Mia Llauder, members of IAC. Casa Puig i Cadafalch 1897-1905, Architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch (1867-1956). Summer home of this Modernist architect, with many architectural ceramics.
