Carmen Riu

Carmen Riu studied Philosophy at the University of Barcelona (1976-81) and Ceramics at Escola Massana (1976- 81) in Barcelona. She was awarded a Ph.D in Philosophy (Aesthetics, 1990) and studied Art History at University of Barcelona (1983-88).
As a researcher, she has published numerous contributions and articles in the field of contemporary ceramics (Butlleti informatiu de ceramica, Revistart, Publicació de l’ACC, Ceramica, Terrart, among others) and medieval artisanal works.   

Beyond her practice as curator of collective and solo exhibitions, she teaches ceramics technology and decoration.
